Unilag par-time which is known as Distance Leaning Institute (DLI) is a weekend programme, and the lectures are only held inside Unilag, Unilag does have any other satellite campus elsewhere.

There are special requirements to meet before you can get admitted into public administration department,which are:
- O’ Level which can either be WAEC/NECO/GCE must have credits in English language, mathematics and Government or History
- Birth certificate/ age affidavit
- Primary/secondary school testimonial
The duration of the programme is 5 years which will award you a B. Sc degree.
