Department Of Anaesthesia
The Department of Anesthesia offers a postgraduate diploma in Anesthesia.
The programme is for full-time students only and is to last for 12 calendar months. It consist of nine courses, including practical theatre sessions, presentation of papers and participation in clinical teaching sessions.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Basic Degree in Medicine MB.BS, BS or MD) of MB.Ch.B. Pre-Regulation Internship — 1 -year rotation in Medicine, Obs. & Gynae, Surgeryand Paediatrics. Registration with Medical & Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCAN), NYSC or Exemption Certificate.
GENERAL COURSE CONTENT
* Principles and Practice in Anaesthesia.
* Clinical Medicine of Anaesthesia
* Principles of Physics and Equipment.
NATURE OF ASSESSMENT
By course work and examination.
DURATION
12 months
