Unilag Postgraduate Diploma/Masters Entrance Exam Grading System

As the Unilag Postgraduate sales of Admission form draws closer, I have been receiving quiet a number of calls inquiring on how Unilag Postgraduate Entrance Exam is being graded, to this effect I have decided to make a post on it.

Exams is  over 60%

Bsc class of degree is 20% max

Work Experience is 10% max,

Note,  experience does not count for full time courses, except courses like Public health and MBA.
3yrs plus or 5yrs plus is full 10 marks
That is why I always urge applicants to come through me,so that I can give Dem the best advice and also assist in their admission.

RELEVANT Professional certifications e.g ACA, OCP, CIPM, PMP etc is 10% max

In some courses, when reading the requirement on Unilag website, you see professional certification will be an advantage, what they mean is you will be given free marks, its usually 10mks
so when filling the form make sure you upload your RELEVANT certifications.

Detailed Explanation Below:

First class is attracts additional 20% marks

Second class upper additional 15%

Second lower additional 10%

Third class 0%

The grading is applied before the total summation is done to all results.
These can be reviewed from time to time.

example during last year result

some people results went from 38 to 53 after upgrade.
that means the fellow had 2:1 and it boosted his over-all marks

Note that third class is not given any marks

so if you had 3rd class, you must double your efforts, because you are not on the same footing with others who before writing a word in the exams already have 20%.

    Hello Mr Ovie. Thank you so much for the information you’ve provided . May God bless your good work. . I studied food science and technology with a cgpa of 3.03. can I do a masters in public health? . Or are there better courses I can offer with respect to the course I studied ..
