2018/2019 UNILAG DLI FORM NEWS: UNIVERSITY OF LAGOS DISTANCE LEARNING PROGRAMME APPLICATION FORM FOR 2018/2019 SESSION IS SELLING TILL NOW. UNILAG DLI FORM IS SCHEDULED TO END SOON, PRECISELY JULY 31ST 2019. STUDENTS THAT APPLY EARLY AND UPDATE THEIR NECESSARY REQUIRED DOCUMENTS STAND A BETTER CHANCE OF BEING ADMITTED ON TIME. IMPORTANT INFORMATION

• Applicants shall not be less than 16 years of age by 31^st October, 2019.
• Please note that Police Report/Affidavit is not acceptable in place of any claimed missing certificate.
• Certificate and not statement of results slips are acceptable for WASCE/SSCE/GCE/NECO results obtained before 2008.
• Coloured online printout results slips are acceptable for WASCE/SSCE/GCE/NECO results obtained after 2015.

GENERAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR DLI PROGRAMMES OR WEEKEND STUDIES

• Candidates seeking admission to DLI must meet the minimum entry requirements of Five (5) Credits in WASSCE/SSCE/GCE/NABTEB/NECO O’Level or its equivalent, including English Language and Mathematics, taken at not more than two (2) sittings.
• Applicants for Distance Learning Institute programme shall not be less than 16 years of age by 31st October
• Any other equivalent qualifications approved by the University Senate.

THE FOLLOWING CANDIDATES ARE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY:

• Graduates of University of Lagos or any other university recognized by Senate (only candidates with good honours degrees in relevant disciplines will be considered for admission at enhanced entry level).
• Holders of Higher National Diploma (HND) or National Diploma (ND) or National Certificate in Education (NCE) in the relevant disciplines. For this category, please note that only holders of HND with at least Upper Credit will be eligible for admissions at enhanced entry level.
• Holders of recognized relevant full professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, ACMA, ACIA, ACIS, ACIB, CII, may be considered for admission at enhanced level provided they have five credits at WASSCE/SSCE/GCE/NECO (O’ Level) or its equivalent, which must include English Language, Mathematics, Economics plus any other two subjects at not more than two (2) sittings.
• Holders of WASSCE/SSCE/GCE/NECO (O’ Level) or its equivalent with credits in five (5) subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Economics plus any other two subjects at not more than two (2) sittings.

SPECIFIC ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR DLI SATURDAY PROGRAMME

UNILAG DLI YEAR ONE ACCOUNTING 

In addition to the general entry requirements, the Five (5) Credits must be in relevant subjects (Accounting, Economics, and Commerce)

UNILAG DLI YEAR TWO ACCOUNTING

In addition to the general entry requirements, the candidate must possess ONE of the following:

• The National Diploma (ND) in Accounting and other related fields with a minimum overall grade of Upper Credit.
• The Higher National Diploma (HND) Lower Credit in Accounting and other related fields.
• The Joint University Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) certificate with Credit grades in Three (3) relevant subjects.
• GCE ‘A’ Level with Credit grades in Three (3) relevant subjects.
• Recognized professional qualification AAT (ICAN).

UNILAG DLI YEAR THREE ACCOUNTING

In addition to the general entry requirements, the candidate must possess ONE of the following:

• The Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting and other related fields with a minimum overall grade of Upper Credit.
• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of pass in a relevant discipline obtained from a recognized University.
• Recognized professional qualifications, such as ACA, ACCA, ACMA.

UNILAG DLI YEAR ONE BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

Same as for Accounting Year One

UNILAG DLI YEAR TWO BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

In addition to the general entry requirements, the candidate must possess ONE of the following:

• The National Diploma (ND) in Business Administration, Business Management, Insurance, Marketing and other related fields with a minimum overall grade of Upper Credit.
• The Higher National Diploma (HND) Lower Credit in Business Administration, Business Management, Insurance, Marketing and other relevant discipline.
• The Joint University Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) certificate with Credit grades in Three (3) relevant subjects.
• GCE ‘A’ Level with Credit grades in Three (3) relevant subjects.

YEAR THREE BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

In addition to the general entry requirements, the candidate must possess ONE of the following:

• The Higher National Diploma (HND) Business Administration, Business Management, Insurance, Marketing and other related fields with a minimum overall grade of Upper Credit.
• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of pass in a relevant discipline obtained from a recognized University.
• Recognized professional qualifications, such as ACIS, ACIB.

YEAR ONE ECONOMICS

Qualifications For Entry Into Year One

• WASSCE/SSCE/GCE/NECO (O’ Level) or its equivalent with 5 credits to include English Language, Mathematics, Economics plus any other two (2)subjects at not more than two (2) sittings
• In addition to the general entry requirements, the candidate must possess Five (5) Credits in relevant subjects, including Economics.

UNILAG DLI YEAR TWO ECONOMICS

In addition to the general entry requirements, the candidate must possess ONE of the following:

• The National Diploma (ND) in Banking and Finance, Insurance, Statistics, Mathematics/ Computer and Actuarial Science and other related fields with a minimum overall grade of Upper Credit.
• The Higher National Diploma (HND) Lower Credit in Banking and Finance, Insurance, Statistics, Mathematics/ Computer, Actuarial Science and other related fields.
• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of pass in a relevant discipline obtained from a recognized University.
• The Joint University Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) certificate with Credit grades in Three (3) relevant subjects.
• GCE ‘A’ Level with Credit grades in Three (3) relevant subjects.
• Recognized professional qualifications, such as ACIS, ACIB.

YEAR ONE PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION

In addition to the general entry requirements, the candidate must possess Five (5) Credits in relevant subjects, including Government.

Year Two Public Administration

QUALIFICATIONS FOR ENTRY INTO YEAR ONE  

• WASSCE/SSCE/GCE/NECO (O’ Level) or its equivalent with 5 credits to include English Language, Mathematics, Government plus any other two (2) subjects at not more than two(2) sittings
• In addition to the general entry requirements, the candidate must possess ONE of the following:
• he National Diploma (ND) in Public Administration, Secretarial Administration and other related fields with a minimum overall grade of Upper Credit.
• The Higher National Diploma (HND) Lower Credit in Public Administration, Secretarial Administration and other related fields
• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of pass in a relevant discipline obtained from a recognized University.
• The Joint University Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) certificate with Credit grades in Three (3) relevant subjects.
• GCE ‘A’ Level with Credit grades in Three (3) relevant subjects.
• Recognized professional qualification, such as ACIS, ACIB.

UNILAG DLI YEAR ONE EDUCATION BIOLOGY

In addition to the general entry requirements, the candidate must possess ONE of the following:

• SSCE/WASSCE/GCE (Ordinary level), NABTEB, NECO or equivalent with Credits in Five (5) subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and any other subjects;
• Teacher’s Grade II Certificate with at least Merit in Five (5) subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and any other science subjects.
• Any other equivalent qualifications approved by the University Senate.

 UNILAG DLI YEAR TWO EDUCATION BIOLOGY

In addition to the general entry requirements, the candidate must possess ONE of the following:

• The National Certificate of Education (NCE) with minimum of Three (3) Merit grades in relevant teaching subjects.
• The National Diploma (ND) in relevant fields with a minimum of Upper Credit.
• The Joint University Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) certificate with Credit grades in Three (3) relevant subjects.
• GCE ‘A’ Level with at least Credit grades in Three (3) relevant subjects.
• Year Three Education Biology
• In addition to the general entry requirements, the candidate must possess the Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of pass in a relevant discipline obtained from a recognized University.

UNILAG DLI YEAR ONE EDUCATION CHEMISTRY

In addition to the general entry requirements, the candidate must possess ONE of the following:

Qualifications For Entry Into Year Two For Education

(a)    Two A/Level passes in proposed subjects of study(Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics) plus the WASSCE/GCE/SSCE/NECO (O’ Level)or its Equivalent with credit in five subjects in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and any other science subject (For Education Mathematics at least a pass in Further Mathematics is Compulsory)

(b)    National Certificate in Education (NCE) obtained from the former College of Education, University of Lagos, in the Science subjects to be offered, or from any College of Education recognised by the Senate of the University of Lagos with Credit/Merit (in proposed subject of study) and any other Science subject.
